Privacy Policy

Effective September 26, 2026

The short version: care records are stored on your device by default. Cloud storage and sharing happen only when you use Journey. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Information the app handles

Where data is stored

Local care history and the optional quick contact are stored on the device. The quick contact may also be stored on a paired Apple Watch so its call shortcut works. It is not visible to Journey members and is not included in cloud backups, synchronized records, notifications, or exported care reports.

Local care history is stored on the device. If you enable Journey, selected data is stored in Google Firebase so authorized Journey members can back up and synchronize it. Notification requests are processed through a Cloudflare Worker and Firebase Cloud Messaging. RevenueCat helps confirm iOS subscription access. Apple and Google provide store and notification services. On Android, an optional donation button opens PayPal outside the app; ACW Contractions does not receive or store payment-card details.

How information is used

Sharing

We share data only with service providers needed to run the features above, with people you invite to a Journey according to their permission, when you intentionally export or share a report, when required by law, or to protect users and the service. We do not sell personal information.

Notifications

Journey notifications may identify the type of care event and the caregiver who recorded it. Detailed notes are not intentionally placed in notification text. You can turn Journey notifications or individual categories off in Settings.

Retention and deletion

Local records and the optional quick contact remain until you delete them in the app, uninstall the app, erase the device, or otherwise remove its data. Shared Journey data remains until the owner deletes the Journey. A member can leave a Journey without deleting the owner’s shared data.

The in-app Delete cloud account and data action removes the requesting person’s Firebase account, profile, notification-device registrations, and subscription-account mapping. If the requester owns a Journey, it also deletes the shared Journey and disconnects its members. This action does not erase local care history and does not cancel an iOS App Store subscription. Store transaction records and limited records required for legal, fraud-prevention, or accounting purposes may remain with Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or other processors under their own retention rules.

Your choices

You can use local tracking without a login, choose whether to create or join a Journey, adjust notifications, export records, edit or delete individual records where your permission allows, leave a Journey, delete a Journey you own, and delete your cloud account. See account deletion instructions.

Health and children’s information

The app is intended for adults managing pregnancy and infant-care information. It is not directed to children and is not a medical device. Because care records can be sensitive, invite only people you trust and protect access to your device.

Security and international processing

We use authentication, encrypted network connections, permission rules, and limited service credentials intended to protect cloud data. No system can guarantee absolute security. Service providers may process data in countries different from yours.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the app changes. The effective date will be updated on this page. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to ACW@bunkicenter.net.
